Survey Tools
Survey tools can be used for assessing student learning, planning classroom activities, organizing classroom volunteers and potentially many other functions. Links and examples are listed below for Doodle Polls, Survey Monkey, Zoomerang, and Poll Daddy. The polls are arranged in order from the most simple, with limited applications, to the more complex, with greater flexibility and options.
Doodle Polls
Doodle polls are simple, so they are quick to set up but limited in their applications. Creating a Doodle poll is free, and does not require setting up an account or logging into a web site.
Survey Monkey
Survey Monkey polls have many more options for types of questions and formats for answers. A basic account is free and requires a username and passwork to set up and log in. The surveys only take a few minutes to create, and there are tools for collecting responses and analyzing results.
Zoomerang
Zoomerang is user friendly with a professional appearance. The basic version is free and requires a username and passwork to set up and log in. There are many templates available for specific business and educational purposes, such as for customer satisfaction or course evaluation.
PollDaddy
PollDaddy can be used to create surveys and polls for your website, blog and social network profiles. The basic version is free and requires a username and password to set up and log in. Create your surveys and polls using custom templates or create your own. Use in-depth reporting engine to aggregate, print and export your results.

Perhaps someone with Vista can give us a narrower snapshot of a doodle poll. The polls were, for the most part in alphabetical order, and the wide screenshot PLUS the navigation tools on the right were causing a strange arrangement, so I narrowed the picture to fit. Unfortunately, the letters on the picture also became mushed. If we insert a different picture, it would be important to pay close attention to the final image after saving.

I had arranged the survey tools from simplest to most complex. I did use the Vista snip tool to get all the survey pictures. I will recreate a narrower picture for Doodle, will make a note that the surveys are arranged from simplest to most complex, and will put them back in that order, rather than alphabetical.
